Privacy is a big issue for all of us, and yet it’s almost invisible.
It touches our lives every day: when we share documents and images via services like Dropbox or Google Drive, use a bank card, rewards card, fuel card, buy something that requires a barcode to be scanned, borrow things from the library, email anyone, text or call anyone on a mobile phone, every time we use social media, or go online to do anything from read the news to checking your bank balance.
This month at the Salon, we’ll be talking about the implications of privacy issues to writers, librarians, publishers, and the rest of us.
Come along for a drink, a chat, to catch up with friends, and meet some new literary folk.
From 6pm Tuesday 6 May at Loop Project Space and Bar, Meyers Place in Melbourne’s CBD.
