We have a venue! We’re delighted to report that the Melbourne Literary Salon will kick off this month at LOOP on Meyer Place, and we are very excited about our opening night.

Created as a networking night in a pub, surrounded by wine and great conversation, the Melbourne Literary Salon is the perfect way to chat to like-minded literary folk. There is no formal structure – just a super short round up of news from across this sparkling City of Literature, and chance for us all to chat about what we’re working on.

Come Along!

We’re looking forward to meeting you all, you book-loving bunch. Illustrators and animators, librarians and book artists, graphic novelists, journalists, producers and editors – come along and share ideas, get to know one another and maybe even cook up a few new projects between you.

Our Supporters

Hardie Grant BooksWe’re pleased to introduce Hardie Grant Books as our supporter of the opening Melbourne Literary Salon.

Hardie Grant Books is one of Australia’s largest independent publishing companies. They love what they do and they only publish what they love – and we love them for being our inaugural supporter.

The Venue

LOOP is tucked in Meyer Place, just off Bourke Street and between Exhibition St and Spring St. Here’s a handy map. LOOP is wheelchair accessible.

Spreading the Word

Our thanks to Books + Publishing for their nice article spreading the news, and to The Grapevine on 3RRR for plugging the event. Here’s to a great first event.
